I’ve been trying to use forums for backlinks, but it’s hard to tell what’s legit. Most threads look spammy, profiles get nofollowed, and the few “dofollow” claims feel unreliable. I don’t want to burn time posting everywhere just to end up with links that don’t index or hurt trust. How do you vet forums and keep it clean?

I manage a vacation rental in Palm Springs and while demand is strong, the workload is intense.
